South Korean actress Lee Young-ae is honored at an event in Seoul for her donation to Iran’s Kermanshah quake relief.

South Korean actress Lee Young-ae has been honored at an event in Seoul for her donation to Iran’s Kermanshah quake relief.

Iran’s Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi honored the South Korean during his visit to the capital city of Seoul on Friday.

The minister presented Persian handicraft to the South Korean actress at the Embassy of Iran in Seoul, the embassy announced.

In November, Lee donated 50,000,000 Korean won (about USD 45,000) to the earthquake relief efforts in Iran.

She extended sympathy by expressing hope for the quick renovation of the hit regions in Iran. Lee further noted that she feels depressed after hearing the news about beautiful Iran.

Lee Young-ae is famous in Iran for her appearance as Seo Jang‑Feum (Yangum) in the Korean historical drama ‘Dae Jang Geum’.

Last month, a 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck villages and towns in Iran’s western province of Kermanshah.
